Assignment: Use the TimelineJS website to create a timeline for your project.
My timeline is about the founding of Washington, D.C., but focused on George Washington’s influence on the subject since he did much for the city! I chose this perspective because a lot of the events leading up to the founding and upbringing of D.C. have to do with President Washington anyway, so I thought about highlighting his part in those events and how it aligns with his life. A majority of the events I chose are related to D.C. rather than George Washington’s life, but I feel it’s appropriate because it demonstrates how he was involved in pretty much all of the significant events regarding D.C..
