On this episode of Understanding the Assignment: The Assignment: The Podcast, I’ll be discussing the compromise of 1790, where Alexander Hamilton and James Madison (and Thomas Jefferson), came to an agreement that changed the course of American history (LITERALLY). The compromise of 1790 allowed for congress to pass the Residence Act, where George Washington selects a location for the federal city!
